Hawk is an early beta ambient AI assistant. It can process sensitive data such as microphone audio, camera or glasses video, transcripts, location-based context, and assistant memory when you enable those features.

Who We Are

This policy describes the privacy practices for the Hawk iOS app, related web interfaces, and the Hawk gateway service. For privacy questions or data requests, contact the developer at privacy@hawky.live.

Information Hawk Collects or Processes

Depending on which features you use, Hawk may collect or process:

Account and access information, such as email address, login session cookies, device tokens, and registration information used to protect gateway access.
Messages, prompts, transcripts, assistant responses, summaries, generated artifacts, and session history.
Audio from the microphone or connected glasses when you start recording, live voice, or audio upload features.
Camera or glasses video when you enable camera, video capture, live vision, or archival features.
Location information when you enable location-based intentions or background location features.
Bluetooth, external accessory, and glasses diagnostics needed to connect to supported wearable devices.
App configuration, model/provider settings, connection settings, and optional API keys you choose to provide.
Technical information such as IP address, device/browser metadata, logs, crash diagnostics, and security events.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide and improve Hawk's assistant features, including realtime voice and vision, recordings, memory, session history, notifications, device pairing, authentication, safety features, debugging, abuse prevention, and service reliability.

AI and Third-Party Processing

Hawk may send prompts, audio, images, transcripts, tool results, and related context to AI model providers or infrastructure providers that power the assistant experience. These may include OpenAI, Anthropic, Cloudflare, Modal, Runpod, Meta Wearables services, Apple services, and other providers configured by the user or gateway operator. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Storage and Retention

Hawk may store conversations, transcripts, recordings, memories, settings, account records, and logs on the device, on the paired gateway, or on hosted infrastructure. We keep information for as long as needed to provide the product, debug issues, meet security needs, or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of data associated with your beta account by contacting us.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Hawk, process AI requests, host the gateway or website, provide authentication, diagnose problems, comply with law, or protect users and the service.

Your Choices

You can choose whether to enable microphone, camera, Bluetooth, local network, notification, and location permissions in iOS. You can stop recordings and live sessions in the app, remove optional API keys, sign out where supported, and request deletion of beta data by contacting us.

Children

Hawk is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including authentication, signed device tokens, restricted cookies, local keychain storage where appropriate, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, especially during beta testing.

Changes

We may update this policy as Hawk evolves. We will update the date above and, when changes are material, provide additional notice where appropriate.
